Just checked for the first time in quite awhile.....they are over 250 hosts listed between those who passed audits and those who purchased the Gem series...the section for those who "have resolved any prior issues with Sound Choice®." only lists 9 but from what I understand not many that settle wish to be listed. Quite an increase in Certified Hosts OOPS should have posted the link http://www.soundchoicestore.com/certifi ... pg-69.html |

Yes they did....wonder when the list was last updated ?...may be more by now I think the first audit for certification was 11/12/2010...it is now 22 months later so an average of over 11 people a month.... |

@ Athena, this week at the show Kurt had a HUGE sign (same as their website) with their pirate pics etc. advertising the purchase of their gem series. Then on their actual table flyers on the same. When I asked them about the main purpose of their booth it was to promote the gem series sales. |

simpmech I have no doubt that Kurt would rather sell product (the Gem) than have to bring lawsuits. The profit level is much better and that is the whole reason SC went into business. I believe we will see new releases from SC shortly as well. |

IMO the lot of the songs coming out now have either crappy graphics, songs that will never get sung or both . I will continue with my monthly subscriptions but am looking forward to something better |

250 certifications over 50 states??? WOW!!!! That's like 5 (FIVE) certifications in EVERY SINGLE State. It seems to me that they have alienated way more people than they have converted to their particular brand of Kool Aid. I don't care what new music they put out in the future. I'll continue to make my own karaoke tracks from the various instrumental mp3's that are available out there on the open market. |

OK so I haven't check it out in a while and just did so. What I found is that JUST ABOUT ALL of those registered are in the SUING states. In other words the KJ's were scared into getting audits, or have settled with SC or have bought the Gem Series just because they wanted them. Thus making them NOT CERTIFIED hosts it's just that they wanted their name listed on the SC website. 55 have done the voluntary audit. 9 have settled with SC for various reasons (read law suit) and the rest are just Gem Licensees. So that doesn't even make a dent in the KJ population heck I'd almost bet there are more than 55 KJ's here where I live. |

2 of the certified KJs in my market don't currently have any shows, more than a year after being certified. How's that working out for them you say? Not real well. |

Using bad math, I figure there is roughly about 48,000 hosts in the states. 250 certificates. Half of one percent certified in two years. Should be 100% compliant in about 200 more years. |

The implication here of course, is that this list is ALL of the GEM owners. This would be a false assumption. Note the clarification. It is a list of KJ's "who wanted to be posted as being GEM Series Licensees". |

Must be like folks who get scammed and are too embarrassed to come forward and report it. |

This whole thing is just too funny. Sound Choice is kidding themselves if they think this certification program is ever going to produce the result they want. They need to close down and walk away, OR STFU and get back to making music. |

You are misinformed. They can only "access my business records" if I break the agreement by, say, pirating the songs. Not "on demand". But "Nice Try". Two years with GEM set #1. No bills. No "rent". No audits. No business records. No problem. Awesome tracks. |
