I'd like to thank Johnny Reverb "publicly", for a suggestion he made that (literally) saved my longest, and favorite venue. It is at a hotel lounge, and I was having trouble with "Wedding Parties" coming in the lounge all sloshed after rehearsal, or whatever from the ballroom. They were disruptive, rude, and very abusive with my equipment. There's no security, and the bar staff were worthless when they were told about a problem. The bar manager is inexperienced, and in WAY over her head. We had to "shut it down" a couple of times because of this. We were at our whit's end as to what to do about it, and were ready to throw in the towel, or I end up in jail for choking somebody out, (which I'm too old to deal with that sh!t). I started a thread on the forum, and Johnny suggested we change our hours from 9 - 1 to 8 - midnight. GENIUS!!!!! So simple, but SOOOOO effective. They usually come in starting about 11:15, to 11:30, by that time, my songlist for the night is FILLED. "Sorry, my songlist is filled for the night, just sit back and enjoy the show, hope you like it"..... WORKS LIKE A CHARM, We love it!!!! Soooo... a public THANK YOU to Johnny for SAVING my venue...... We've taken back control of the show that we SOOOOO enjoy.... Again, thanks friend.
