I received the following E-mail today: " Subject: Re: Int'l Karaoke Competition Date: Sep 30, 2012 5:36 AM
Hello, my name is Lloyd Wynn. I am a principal of Xbera, LLC and in conjunction with Check1 Entertainment, which operates Park Star (http://www.parkstarusa.com) at 6 Flags America, in suburban Washington, DC, we are preparing for our inaugural, national karaoke competition at 6 Flags Amusement Park, March/April, 2013. The top prize is $15,000.00. The competition begins at the local level, in places similar to where you are working now. We have re-arranged the format of regional and state competitions. In this competition, regional is used in the context of intra-state instead of interstate. The winner of the local competition will move on to the regional contest within the state. The regional competition will be hosted by the most enthusiastic and robust local venue as determined by Xbera and local coordinator, more on that later. The winner of the regional competition will move on to the state competition. All state winners will compete in the national karaoke competition. The national champion will go on to compete in the international event to be held in the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
Xbera is looking for coordinators to identify talent and assist in organizing this endeavor at the local level. We would like to open discussions with you about how your company could expand and grow revenues through this competition. If you are interested, please contact me at:
(703) ***-**** or *****@comcast.net. ( Contact info deleted by me- unsure if allowed to post- J.C.)
Kind regards, Lloyd Wynn, CEO
Xbera, LLC
I wanted others' thoughts on this. The only suspicious thing that I've found so far is that the phone number that was given is a cell which I found this a little strange in this situation. I have yet to check out the company itself. Your thoughts?

Well, I found Check1 Entertainment in Facebook, but not a whole lot of info on them. Their website (listed in the ABOUT Tab) brought me to GoDaddy.com.
The Park Star website didn't have any information in there about anything. All they had were some photos and some downloaded videos. Their Contact Page had no information, but wants you to give them yours.
As for Lloyd Wynn, the name search was too broad, and I couldn't find anything when I did a search for "Xbera, LLC" (with and without the comma). When I searched for Xbera, I couldn't find anything specific to Lloyd Wynn, and most of the results of my search weren't even in English.
Why don't you reply back to the e-mail and get the details of this contest. I'd love to hear where else they intend to have this contest hosted (besides the 6 Flags in Washington, DC), and what their Entry Fees will cost. I'll bet that the expenses will have to go to each Contestant (with regard to advancing to the next level/s)and in traveling to the place/s where they must compete.
