I contacted Karaoke Version about package deals as I may start fazing out certain karaoke manufactures and songs. I hate to buy yet another version of many of these songs but it may be what I will do. Anyway, they wrote me back and said they can set up a 20% discount on my account for orders over $120. That takes their tracks from $2.99 each down to $2.39 which is closer to reasonable. It's still up there but they seem to have the best versions period. I thought I'd pass this along in case anyone else liked their tracks and wanted to buy in bulk. I'm sure all you need to do is email them.

I wouldn't call them the best versions. They do have many good to great tracks - many of which are exclusive to them at this time which would automatically make them the best version available. Many of their versions of stuff already out are SBI music tracks (or at least from the same source). But have heard some Backstage, Music Maestro and I did match up a song to Sweet Georgia Brown tracks that I had to pass on because they were not great. I haven't personally heard the MM tracks, but were told from some on this site they have ran into them.
They also have a loyalty program, every 20 points you earn, you get a free track.

?? It seems like they've made all the versions I've bought so far. I have 36 so it isn't a huge number but all have seemed to be much better quality that SBI MM and the like. Do you remember some titles that were knock offs? I know you know your music and I'm not asking for "proof". Id just like to compare some to hear it for myself.

Can't remember right off, I have over 450 K-Version tracks right now. One that comes to mind is Rolling Stones - Beast Of Burden. Was looking to upgrade some of the Backstage tracks I have comes to find that the K-Version was the same track. I didn't have the MM tracks to compare with, but a couple others have mentioned they found tracks they were trying to update as well that were the same as their MM. Adele - Chasing Pavement is the same music as the SBI

Thanks, I'll check that last one out. I didn't get the backstage Stones and I don't think I could now if I wanted to (and I don't).. LOL The only backstage I use is the Eagles. I don't know why that one seemed to turn out better than the rest. Oh, the Steve Miller wasn't horrible.

Hey Lon, a little help?

My go to disc at this time is Legends LG-091, though I use Zoom as well.

Question: Have you ever compared the Legends version to SBI, and are the the same?

I'm not looking to debate quality here, I'm only trying to confirm what I've been told. I don't have any SBI stones, or I would do it myself.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yup, and and throw Neil Diamond and Queen in there too. Surprised the hell out of me. I guess one can even find discs in a pile of frisbees and coasters... :o

I don't have the Stones on Legends to compare with but many Legends tracks I have match up to SBI (and/or Sunfly) versions as well. Top Tunes & SBI tracks are the same as well.

I have the BS Neil Diamond for I Am I Said only. Had 4 singers rate the BS version of that song better than the major manus when we did a blind comparison one night. The rest of the disc is eh - i'll stick with the Pioneer versions for the rest.
