Post subject:  Help! I'm unable to find an old song

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to inquire about finding an old song, but I thought I would give it a shot. If this is not the place to ask, I'm sure some helpful member will assist this "newbie" and tell me where the appropriate forum would be. Ok here goes. Back a few years ago (early 90s) I was in a local bar where karaoke was the highlight. The KJ played a song entitled "Good Ol' Girls" that I believe was orginally sang by Sammy Curits. I have been looking up, down and all around for this song. Does anyone know where I could get this song? Unfortunately the bar had gone out of business long ago and I have no clue who the KJ was. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's Sonny Curtis, not Sammy.
Even with the correct name, I could not find it in karaoke.

Someone probably made a homemade version of the song by removing the vocals from the original recording. The version that I found was recorded in such a way that it worked prety well with vocal removal software that I use. The resulting file sounded very good musically and the remaining vocals just sounded like background singers.

Can’t find it either. Some of his songs include: “I Fought The Law”, & “More Than I Can Say”, but covered & popularized by Bobby Fuller & Leo Sayer respectively. A little trivia: S. Curtis joined the Crickets as their frontman after Buddy Holly’s death.

I put in a request for possible future release at http://www.karaokewh.com/songrequest.cfm There’s a few more manus posted here at ks for direct song requests but I can’t find it right of hand.
