Christened the new Shure Super 55 with old-style mic stand (heavy round base) at last night's show. It was a big hit for most of the singers, although a few seemed to be a little intimidated and chose to stick with the (familiar) wireless hand-helds.

The sound/clarity was excellent. Definitely a positive addition to the show.
