...Have any of you ever heard of, have in your collection or use Karaoke Bay CDG Music? I ended up with a couple of their discs in a grab bag purchase from a few years ago. Decided to try a couple of those tracks last weekend and they sounded fairly good. Was just curious if anyone else knew of them or had any background on them.

Just had two rock discs, in my collection, that I ripped almost three years ago that I had never tried till last weekend. I probably tested a couple tracks when I first ripped them and that was it. They seemed ok. But was wondering if they were in the 50-50 club like some others are. Thanks!

Some of the stuff I heard was pretty good. I had some of their discs in my mobile system a few years back. No longer in business as far as I know but haven't looked for any lately.

I have several of them and the music is pretty good on them. Watch out for some of the lyrics, though. A rather humorous example is Norah Jones' Don't Know Why. Original lyric: "I'll be a vagabond traveling down this road alone." With Karaoke's Bay's staff's excellent hearing, it turned into: "I'll be a bag of bones, traveling down this road alone".

I've heard two or more reasons for that type of error.. One, the disk publisher wants to "NOT COPY" lyrics exactly, assuming less liability. Two, the tech that makes the disk has a minimum understanding of English, and is easily confused. Choose the one you prefer..

Silly karaoke manufacturer, getting those words wrong. ... ... Note to self: "vagabond", not "bag of bones."

you worte One, the disk publisher wants to "NOT COPY" lyrics exactly, assuming less liability. Two, the tech that makes the disk has a minimum understanding of English, and is easily confused the top one has been around since 2002 at least on the east coast singers use to get mad about the words being wrong and start giving crap to the host like he did it i tend to go with number 2 that was my thinking from the start

Or they just copy the lyrics from a lyrics site of some sort and takes them as correct without actually listening.

I've seen that quite often when looking for lyrics to make a home made track. I have no idea how they can be so wrong but they manage to make it happen. There have been a few songs that I couldn't undertand what was being sung in certain parts of the songs and none of the Karaoke manufacturer's got it right either. Just about every version of Zac Brown's "Knee Deep" had different lyrics at the end

Do a search for the lyrics to Kid Rock/Sheryl Crow "Picture." On two sites that I looked at, the lyrics in the 3rd stanza read: Sheryl: I was Headed To ChurchKid: I was off to drink you away On 2 other sites, the same stanza read: Sheryl: I was Head of the ChurchKid: I was off to drink you away.

Headed to church would be right. She isn't 'head of the church' .

I don't think Karaoke Bay ever produced anything, they were remastering tracks from other manu, and everyone I bought were Pocket Songs backing with a much better sound I loved them

...No doubt it's amazing how some Karaoke Manufacturers can misprint the lyrics. However, I will admit to shower singing the wrongs lyrics to certain songs from the past because it sounded like "____" only to find out later the actual lyrics were totally different. Ooops ...The two Karaoke Bay discs that I have sounded good for the most part. A couple had some odd intro music. The lyrics screen looked pleasing to the eyes.
