Hello, ive been running the same Music for 5 Years and even when i aquired it it was dated. It never really mattered till recently as we had done mostly weddings. but starting Dec 1st one of my systems will have a permanent spot in a karaoke Bar that fired there old guys.

here's the problem:

I have the SGB 21st century tool kit disk 1-10

and SGB0001 - SGB0067 what I'm looking for is a package to fill in the last 12 years.

This collection is fairly complete up until 2004 but i would like something that can take me from 2004 to 2012. Ideally I would like a package (or 2) that could do this. the pig problem is i kinda need 2 of whatever i buy as i have 2 identical sets

Any Recommendations?

Anything but Sound Choice. They like to sue their own customers. You may want to look into All Star. They have pretty good stuff, that is reasonably priced.

they are cd+r disc with printable labels......

i've contacted them and they have said it's ok to use their disc's or downloads for karaoke, they do recommend burning the downloads to disc so you have a hard copy..
but just to be safe i print my receipts from the website and keep them in my karaoke disc box with other receipts.

here is a link to their 45 songs for $20 card at walmart, it's e-delivered within an hour of your purchase. that's .44 cents a song.

Do you run from disk, or use a computer and the songs on a hard drive?

I've only been to one karaoke show where the host used an apple computer and she used a program called KJams to run her show. Dhe couldn't play a customer's disc with it so if I wanted to sing anything that she didn't have, I had to convert the CD+G to an AVI file so she could play it like a movie. Too much of a hassle so I just stopped going there.

love it. I like that i can make a next singer list for my rotations. i have allot less singers in the bathroom or out smoking when there song is up. i laso like how it will manage the rotation for you if you want it to, less complaining from ppl.

Am I losing it? I've looked all over that WalMart page and there isn't a button to actually buy this product. Are they no longer selling these?

Kjams is awesome, I love it. Hands down (IMO) the best product for mac out there. Terrific customer support too. As far as not being able to play a customer disc...Ive done it with no problems. Perhaps "she" was unfamiliar with how the program completely?

I think that would make sense, being it's pretty much the ONLY one solely based for MAC - you can assure it's the best.

Lon, while you are correct, not a lot of choices out there for Mac...I would definitely not endorse it if I wasn't 100% pleased and behind it. If it wasn't up to my standards and ease of use etc. I would parallel and use a PC based program

SC - Sound Choice is the best, and the "true singers" always ask for that version of a song. While they are no longer creating updates, (due to piracy) you can still purchase all the older stuff to last year. For the record, I have never been sued by them and have been doing this a long, long, time, and have purchased all of their songs.
As far as the AllStar karaoke link placed below for WalMart, the 45 songs for $20 is back up, however listen to the songs first, as it sounds like a throwback to earlier karaoke with that darned MIDI sound!

I don't aim to turn this into an SC thread however I have what I would call true singers and not one of them ever asks for SC. I would agree that a high % of songs that are on both SC karaoke and other manus are best in the SC version.
