I don't know, not so sure those improvements mean enough to me to pay 80 bucks. I'm highly disappointed that they spent their resources and time on the video thing instead of working on a DJ player so when I need to play music for dancing, I can control where the song begins (skip intro to Thriller yada yada) and possibly do a little beat mixing on top of that. I would have bought this in a heartbeat if they had made that change alone and paid more!

I love the new features like normalizing the Karaoke songs, skipping the silence in the beginning and end, playing customer disks directly in the program and the support for all different kind of Karaoke formats. Definitely worth the money to me. And I mean, come one... they put so much work and effort into it and $80 is really not that much, that's less than half a show and you made your money back. Cost of doing business and considering what you get for it, really not that bad.

I got a few error messages when installing and setting some of the new features up the first time. But everything is still working fine and the errors have disappeared since. Everything seems to work they way it's supposed to. Going to try it out tonight at my show and report back.

As much as I love CompuHost, the UI looked like Windows 95. Has that changed for version 2? I love the look of virtual dj.

I use VDJ and Siglos Karaoke Pro and I can seamlessly go from one program to the other. I set up both programs and when I want to use VDJ all I need to do is activate the video out on VDJ. This will automatically switch the video to VDJ. When I want to go back to karaoke, I just deactivate the video out on VDJ and the monitor switches to Siglos Karaoke Pro.

Much like Lonman, I too did not like compuhost because it couldn't play all of the different formats. I selected Siglos Karaoke Pro because it did play all the formats AND it does everything that compuhost just recently added. I'm not knocking compuhost, but at the time I wanted more features, that's why I personally selected to buy Siglos Karaoke Pro. I have not regretted it and have not looked back. Plus the great support was a pleasant bonus!

siglos still does the outside disc better, by allowing you to enter the song into the que under the name of the singer like all the songs available to you in the regular database.
When the singer's name comes up it allows the singer to sing off the disc without the host having to remember that the singer is singing off disc. I'm still afraid to use the feature in compuhost v2 because I could skip their turn. I like to turn on the auto deactivate feature so if the singer doesn't have anything in the que then they get skipped.

that is way more complicated than you might think RIP. I currently flip back and forth between Compuhost and Virtual DJ, but, I have a Denon MC6000 controller for DJing... you would have to manually map all the controls more then likely as I doubt they would have mapping done! I need the knobs and platters myself... so i don't see compuhost integrating DJ ability into its capabilities any time soon. But Karaoke is morphing, so who knows what the future holds.

An Exciting New Built-In "Media Player"!

To me this is the most exciting feature... I can play customers disks on my computer! How cool is that? I got rid of my disk plyer a while back and all the wires and switches that go with that. So this would be nice.
