Aside from the power being out a few times, hurricane Frances didn't affect us, thank God. Unfortunately there are plenty who can't say the same. I'm praying that they recuperate from the mess quickly.

Happy Holidays to both of you and everyone else here!

Andrew was devastating, to say the least. Again, me and my family were spared, thank the Lord. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and was very concerned about giving birth too early, but again, thank God, nothing happened.

You can always replace material things, but the awful memories do stay with you forever.

The full force of mother nature is not a force to reckon with. I've been through a number of hurricanes (growing up on the Florida Gulf Coast) and it wasn't the hurricanes so much that scared most people, it's the strom surge mixed with tornadoes. I'd rather face a hurricane any day than a tornado - more time to prepare. I helped clean up after a tornado in Huntsville, Alabama in the late 80's. It was horrible....

I do wish everyone a happy labor day (I have work :? ) and a speedy recovery after the storm!

yeah we got a tornado in weir miss right after andrew lawdddd have mercy ...it sucked the bricks off one house was unreal to see..and u would see houses with no walls...but everythin was still inside..and then the hardest was seein mile after mile of large trees broken in half ..a whole forest ruined :(

Im so glad for those who can pick up and realise whats important..grams and aunt lived right in homestead..:(

so i guess all we can do is make sure the ones we love know we love em..and live as close to his plan as possible :) hugssss

i love yall...
