Tonight I thought I would check out the sign up process for KaraokeCloudPro. As we all know, the best of deals (not that I am saying this is one!) can get screwed by crappy customer service or user experiences. Instantly I realized that there is no sign up process unless you call or email them!

This breaks of the fundamental tenants of cloud computing which is "self service". There is no self-service with KaraokeCloudPro, therefore it isn't even a true cloud service.

This may seem a little silly to people reading this, but cloud computing is my day job and so I tend to look at these things a bit more deeply. It just never occurred to me to check out the sign up process until tonight.

Their marketing folks should really do some reading up on current technology!

...After the phone call I got from them earlier today, I would say they're still working out several details, but that's only my opinion... You can always give them a call, I guess?

Not necessary. I have spoken to Greg about the service a couple of times. he knows I won't ever sign up under the current model. I was just interest in seeing what the online sign-up process was like which is when I discovered there is no online sign up process.
