Unless it's an all day event and they have plenty of them on hand at that price, I never do black Friday.

The Guitar Center ad is not out yet but that is probably the only spot for deals in my area.

Not crazy about BFriday madness either. Saw it in the news last night about 25 shoppers are already @ my local Best Buy determined to be among the first in line. Sorry, but for me time is money. By camping out or getting in line before dawn - am I really saving 150-200 $$ for one item? I value my time so the hours being in line would negate any $$ saved from the advantage of productivity gain.

Good things come to those who wait but I think this is maybe taking it a little too far. At times I found out online prices are almost, if not the same as the store deals.

Brian nailed it. However I would also add that I have never seen a Black Friday price that wasn't even lower later on in the season. I can wait.....

I knew you were going to say that....

In this case I kind of agree with you! :o

Not neccesarily on the day ( I'd still wait for better pricing), but last year I did most of my shopping on the internet. Had a few problems, but all in all it beats the mall.

However, being the Luddite that I am, I still need to hit the local stores (not malls) for the holiday feeling....

Why wait til Cyber Monday? Last year, I bought myself a new PC during "Black Friday" from Staples, and I did it while I was at work, at 3 AM, ONLINE, and it was available at the same price as their in-store "Limited Quantity." I then chose the option of SITE PICKUP, and selected a store, and I picked it up 4 days later.

2 years ago, I almost did the same thing on Walmart's website (I thought about getting a new TV set, but changed my mind when I got to the Check-out page).

Wonder if Karaoke Version will have any deals..? They're kinda expensive compared to tricerasoft.

jr, I agree they're a little pricey. I'm holding off some of my downloads this week as I'm keeping an eye on kv for deals. Tricera SBI's are pretty good too but kv is my preferred version. :)

I try to buy the KV customizable tracks. for only one dollar more you can customize the song in as many ways as your heart desires.... W-Vocal, W-Background singers, No Background singers, Acoustic W-Background, Acoustic No Background etc.

Its no longer Black Friday... its Black-all-Thanksgiving-week-long for the greedy stores who have to try to beat everyone to the punch. Very unattractive.

I've went a few times, more to have fun than to hunt for real bargains, but I don't care what the deal is- nobody is getting me to their door on thanksgiving day:/

(Except my momma!)

I am looking for a new laptop to run shows. Missed the Frys electronics online deal. I am not waiting in line all night just to get tased at the door when people start pushing so I can save $100. If anyone finds a deal online for under $300 that looks good please point it out. I spent $299 on my last one and it lasted for years through my day job, my kj gigs and it got me through my MBA.

Thanks!
