http://microsoft-news.com/the-karaoke-c ... -holidays/ It sounds like a winner to me. Karaoke streamed to your Xbox 360. Now you can host a karaoke party like a pro at home on your Xbox360 complete with rotation and history features. Or you can take your Xbox360 to the bar and host like an amateur. I'll bet this is a big hit. |

no not good.... if you don't have an xbox360 then you have to buy one... $200 then you have to sign up for xbox live gold....... $59 for the year... there's $260 so far..... are you gonna have to suscribe to the karaoke service or is it free? probably not free... and all that just to sing karaoke on an xbox...... not worth it. |

On the other hand.......if you already own an Xbox 360, and already have Xbox Live Gold, then the cost to get in a significantly lower.... Let's see.... 70,000,000+ Xbox 360 consoles. Some dead, returned, or otherwise unused. Let's say 10% (7,000,000) leaving us with 63,000,000 Consoles. The vast majority do have a Live subscription, but let's be very conservative and say only 50%. So now we are down to 31,500,000 consoles that Karaoke Channel just gained some pretty exclusive access to. If only 1% sign up, that is 315,000 subscribers. That my friends is a Gold Mine anyway you look at it. -Chris |

I had hoped that by trimming the number by over 50% that EVERYONE would see I was trying to be VERY conservative. But there is always that one person..... I don't know what the dead stats are but it isn't 75%. I will ping my Xbox cohorts on Monday and see if there are public numbers on the estimated number of dead consoles. My original Xbox 360 has been used almost every single day (used as a Media Center streaming device) and I have had it since before they actually when on sale to the public. I still have my very first original Xbox which also still works though it admittedly get very little use in the last 4-5 years. -Chris |

I must confess, I did buy one, (XBox360) but the gal that was selling was moving back home to mama.. (Divorce) I gave most of the games to the grandkids, and threw the console in the closet.. I guess I'm not much of a gamer.. But, it's there if I ever get the urge.. |
