Anyone going? There is another local KJ I am friends with that is going and I am looking at flights and hotels today. Just interested to hear if anyone else plans to attend.

I had planned on it, but last minute changes I think have spoiled the plans

I booked everything today. I have to take off Wed night though because the wife and I will be going out of town on vacation starting Fri. the 7th.

@Gretchen - I will definitely be looking for all of the karaoke related vendors while I am there! Seeya in a month!

The total for hotel and flight was less than $250. The conference fee is $249 for a full conference pass for the week. Beyond that it is foo/drink/fun which could be as little as $100 or as much as $?????.

So for about $650 most people should be able to do the whole thing. The flight cost will change based on where you are coming from but flights to Vegas are generally pretty cheap from just about anywhere.

Not this year, but have attended 7 times already and have made friends and contacts with nearly 100 or so deejays across the country.

Most seminars/classes are well done and informative.

The equipment Exhibition Hall get better each year, as do the cool parties with celebrity drop-ins! Discounted new gear and thousands of dollars of giveaway gear and rigs when you enter to win.

Many manus will give you a good discount on gear you want on the last day of the exhibit hall because they don't want to haul it back!

We've always stayed at The Riviera where it's held, and after the 1st year of getting a club card while gambling downstairs, we always got enough comps to stay for free the last 6 years for the show and they send home free-stays throughout the entire year.

Dress warm .it's friggin cold there this time of year! Denny's is 2 blocks away and Ross (for extra thermals or gloves) is a block away. Subway is across the street in Circus Circus Casino.

If you decide to go again next year, book it before december and it's usually only $99 for the entire show. If you buy music and/or music videos from Promo Only, they'll usually give you a free exhibit pass and an extra discount on the show.

I am really bummed that I can't stay for the last day of the show. I know how the trade shows work and that last day can be quite lucrative for people that pay attention.

I will also miss out on this seminar -

"How to Make a 6 Figure Income as a Solo Operator or Part-Time DJ"

My answer to that is..."Six figures? That's all?"

ps....I am seriously considering ordering up the audio or video recordings of the seminar so I can catch the last day's worth of info. There are several seminars I am interested in besides the one above.
