Since we have been on the topic of lighting lately a little bit, I thought I would showcase a couple of the Ball State girls that came to sing with us, their video is obviously with lighting....Then, the same venue without lighting. A huge difference in atmosphere IMO. The par cans on the truss are mine, i used to leave them mounted but not anymore.

As a singer, lights don't do anything for me......now watching hot chicks singing & dancing in fancy lights, or in the dark, while I'm wearing my night-vision goggles......works for me.... :)

I am not a big fan of AmericanDJ products but I do like the way this particular laser looks. I ordered up two of them earlier today for use at separate venues.

The video with lights did look a lot better to me, but there were other things that made it look better too:

#1.
2 pretty girls singing an upbeat song having fun. Video without lights was with a boring girl singing a slow boring song.

#2.
The camera shot was further back allowing us to see more. Video without lights was kind of close up on the boring singer.

But still, even though the camera shots were not equal, I agree the lights looked much better.

I like how you had the lights positioned as well. None of the lights were obstructing the singers' view. That's very important. Thanks for posting.

I always think that people are a bit more likely to let loose and feel party like if it is dark with some colorful lights shooting around.
