Does anyone know if it will be possible again to order custom CDGs with Chartbuster Karaoke tracks, with international postage? I was in the middle of compiling a disc on the Chartbuster website when they fell by the wayside.

Will "Digitrax" offer this service?

Thanks

according to the karaoke summit videos Digitrax will not be offering any hard media. The only option will be the "cloud" service

You might want to contact them directly to confirm all this but it appears that the tracks available for custom CDG on karaoke.com are CBs--at least their code says CBK. They do say they ship internationally.

It is sort of confusing as they don't advertise an option for starting a custom CDG on the site that I can find at the moment but if you do a search for the songs then a custom will come up as an option. It is pricey, though at $5/song and maybe a set fee. I put in one just to see if it would work and the cart said $14.99 but supposedly the price goes down to $5 if you buy 6 songs.

Again, you might want to email them and confirm all this--I'm just guessing that the CB stands for Chartbuster as well as the songs seem to match their catalog. Just not sure also if they are still available as they used to promote making a custom on the home page and I don't see it anymore.

Digitrax still hasn't opened up their site yet. You can't buy anything from Chartbuster because they took away all the payment options.

--Thread bump--

I did get a custom disc of CB from Karaoke.com in the end - thanks to all who helped me with my queries.

I now seek to replenish my collection of CB using custom discs I can take to shows with me. It doesn't look like Karaoke.com offer this service anymore, so Proburn.com is what I have been using. While they have a very respectable amount of CB, it is incomplete.
So my question is... is there anywhere I can get a custom disc with the Chartbuster version of Eddie Kendricks : Keep on truckin'? Or even a CBK disc with that track on would do.

Proburn will soon be closed as they are done by Clark Music.

If you manage to get to the Selectatrack UK site you can get them there.... They put up the entire CB catalog (around 12K tracks) under the Digitrax name (CB file numbers)

Does this include the UK based Proburn sites too? This is concerning as I just put an order in with proburn.com

Brad, Thanks a MILLION. Let's hope they stay up there a bit longer this time! This must have been a very recent addition as I did not see any DT/CB when I placed an order with S-a-T Sunday night.

Yes Al owns the ProBurn site too and it too will be gone.

As far as Selectatrack having CB, unless this is partly why they had to redo their website structure to sell in US recently, they HAD CB tracks - for a very short period last year and then had to pull them. They didn't have CB tracks up til last Tues when I was on their actual site.

I don't see the point in burning custom CB discs. There is so much Chartbuster content on the market right now that it is almost as inexpensive as Monster, SGB, and Nutech discs right now.

Just watch eBay and buy it cheap.

Actually they never re-did anything... A who-is lookup shows that Mr Tricerasoft registered the www.selectkaraoke.com name. Selectatrack needed to direct it's US customers somewhere and agreed to let him use their color scheme to make his Tricerasoft replica look familiar. That's it... We don't have access to 75% of the content on the www.selectatrack.com site. If my memory serves me right... they made the regretful announcement that they had just added the entire CB library with a nice email and banner on the front page.

Digitrax probably underestimated the amount of US traffic that Selectatrack was selling to and most likely found themselves in a sh*tstorm as a result. I mean CB just went out of business and suddenly the catalog is available in the UK?

So....! They pull it down and apologize and say it will hopefully be back up in the future. Which brings to where we are now. Selectatrack got a spanking from someone for it's sales practices and blocked US customers... and now Digitrax says hmmmm... maybe we can sell those tracks now (including the thousands that we can't sell in the USA on our own platform) and get a little return on our investment....?

And presto chango we have lift-off! CB err... Karaoke Cloud tracks for all you lucky Brits! Y'all better get yer cowboy hats on! YYYYEEEEEEEEE HAAAAW!

Could we have a screen shot or direct link? SelectKaraoke (appears to) redirects to SelectATrack for me. selectkaraoke.com remains in the address bar, but the website is identical.

I think I recall you said you were in the UK.... so you are in the opposite circumstance. You can Only see the original site which is what Selectatrack wants you to shop from. They don't want you to shop from Selectkaraoke and if they had their choice, they would never have done all this in the first place. It sounds as if they are using the same Ip blocking for Selectkaraoke (applied to UK customers) as they do on Selectatrack for US customers.

Also, I saw it mentioned that Proburn is shutting down. To be clear on that one - Proburn is another UK company (the first custom karaoke site on the market) and they are NOT closing down. They set up Al Clark with his own machine so he could do their customs in his territory. Does anyone remember "Disc on Demand" that was being offered here some years ago? That was the same deal.... It was Pro Burn technology, equipment etc as well as the same content.

Hope that helps

I am betting since Lord has stated the selectkaraoke remains in the address bar, that he isn't seeing the original selectatrack site. Would like to see a screen shot of what he is actually seeing when he types in selectatrack.com

Al Clark told me in an email he sold off his equipment and IS IN FACT closing down. No more custom discs which includes his Proburn site (PRoburn IS Clark Music's). Now if he sold that site to the company that he sold the equipment to remains to be seen. Also Proburn was in fact Al Clark - not UK, but Austraila. And if anybody ever looked at the copyright info on the bottom of the Proburn page

I can still access the UK sunfly site....but have no idea if they will honor a US address without placing an order and do not need any SF tracks currently
