I just noticed tonight that Tricerasoft has added Karaoke2Go to it's lineup of producers. Anyone ever use this brand, and is it any good? The sound bites seem pretty good.

Karaoke 2 Go works with your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to let you sing and throw spontaneous karaoke parties everywhere you go. That's all I know!

"And the free Karaoke Cloud app gives you access to hundreds of the best songs that you've always wanted to sing"
are they just re-labelling some stuff maybe? :dontknow:

Keep in mind, that free library is just for your own Karaoke on the Fly (home entertainment), and not for a professionally run commercial show.

After searching with Google and finding no real information about "Karaoke2Go" mp3+g karaoke, I went out on a limb and bought some of these tracks from Tricerasoft this week. First off, there is no connection between these and the "Karaoke 2 Go" iPad/iPhone product. I'm very happy with the quality of the 5 tracks I got, and find it cool that I got both mp3+g downloads and mp4 video karaoke downloads of the songs. The mp4 files ARE NOT conversions made from mp3+g tracks as other mp4 files I've got from Tracerasoft, but rather actual video karaoke similar to the HD mp4s that Zoom sells on thier site and the SBI HD Graphic karaoke. Unfortunately instead of being 1280x720 16:9 HD they're 640x480 4:3 SD. The software I host with won't play mp4 files anyway, so I did a conversion to 848x480 16:9 xvid avi files, and they look and sound great.

I was thinking about this short thread on here, and noticed this on the end of the tracks, which should clarify where these tracks are from for the original poster and other lurkers like myself:
"(C)2013 TRICERASOFT"
"KARAOKE2GO IS A TRADEMARK OF TRICERASOFT"

So there you go: it's their own new brand.
I do find it odd that nowhere on thier site does it say that, but rather Karaoke2GO is shown like just another brand that they're a third party vendor for.

For what it's worth, I got tracks for new songs from Arcade Fire, Avicii, James Blunt, Michael Buble & Robbie Williams. All were of good quality and quite to my liking.

I downloaded a couple and it seems like there may be a tie to karaoke-version. I could be wrong, but I didn't really investigate further. Just my impression.

I'm going to say no connection to Karaoke Version, as I just got "Goodbye Goodbye" by Tegan And Sara from Karaoke2GO, and Karaoke Version doesn't have that available, not even as an mp3 instrumental.

I spent a couple of hours last night downloading songs from the Tricerasoft site. From just listening to the demo clips they provide I am sticking with Zoom & SBI. The Karaoke2go songs were ok but still not as good as the other two musically. As a interesting side note I have seen quite a few of the Karaoke2Go tracks on You Tube posted by no other than KJ Bill. He has covered the Karaoke2Go splash screen and inserted his own KJ Bill splash screen.

After hearing about Tricerasoft putting DK karaoke in their lineup, i'm not sure whether to trust these other products are gonna be legit.

All the Karaoke2Go tracks I have downloaded are all "Instrumental Only".

This means not only do you not hear the lead singer, there are no backing vocals either.

I can't think of too many situations where these work for a professional show.

I actually get people asking if I have the ability to drop the back up vocals quite often. If the K2G were actually any good, I'd probably buy those versions, but the music sounds like a Casio keyboard and the few I have downloaded every person that has tried to sing them said they aren't singable.

K2G00678A Cecilia And The Satellite (instrumental) by Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness is listed in kJams' Tricerasoft store. I could purchase it for you but I don't know how I'd transfer ownership.
