Anyone else finding that Karaoke-Version tracks swipes are way off when played through Tricerasoft Trikaraoke player? The newer KV tracks are significantly worse. I play the tracks through Power CDG player and the swipes are bang on.

Do you have a well-spec'd computer? If you are running low on resources, and the one program takes up more memory than the other, you could lose some of the sync that way.

My computer is probably not that well spec'd. It is old and slow. The Karaoke-Version files are the only ones that are playing out of sync, all other labels playing fine. All my karaoke files are MP3/CDG format. It's only TriKaraoke that this is happening on, Power CDG player plays everything in perfect sync as does Karaoke Builder Player.

They are adding massive ID3v2 tags with album covers, clear the tags and everything will time properly. Windows codecs do not like ID3v2 tags, they mess up timing. They are not following the standards of MP3+G we invented and adding ID3v2 tags - only ID3v1 tags are allowed and CBR for karaoke, compatible for all players.

Probably off- subject, but I noticed that if I make a back- up disc using Power Karaoke, I can't test it with the KaraFun player software. It plays with all kinds of audio and swipe flaws. Yet when I test the discs with my players, they are flawless. What's that about? Please keep in mind that I'm the forum Luddite so use teeny computer words... :-)
