What is so surprising. That is their job. The bar didn't have their BMI certificate so BMI sued. |

Yep nothing new there, the bar was only paying 2 of the 3 PR groups and that third took action. Bars seem to think they are safe if they only pay - say ASCAP, that the other two won't touch them - that's wrong, they will! |

Agreed. BMi has been at it way longer than the karaoke producers.... |

Just another thing that should be simplified. There should be ONE organization that collects for all. But, as with everything else in this country, it has to be done the hard, inefficient way. |
