Getting another library ready to get audited. Is there a way to get a disk to burn with mediacloq?

There is a way to do it, but I'm not sure how. I have 6 SC discs with the mediacloq protection, and I had to get a friend/fellow KJ to burn a copy of those discs for me (when I was making back-up copies for my entire library).

You HAVE to have a drive that will read them without any issues. They do exist but are nothing to be able to distinctly specify which ones. Even within the same brand/model will sometimes not work. Then MTU Microstudio or Powerkaraoke CDG Burner

I use MTU MicroStudio - http://www.mtu.com/basics/karaoke.htm

Read Track 15 and rips flawlessly using the stock drive in my ASUS desktop.

if you install ANYDVD by slysoft it will disable the media cloq and then you can
rip with any ripping software.

you can download a 20 or 30 day trial version for free. then rip your disc your
having issues with.

You still need a drive that will not lock up just by inserting the disc. I have 4 (an old Plextor included) that won't even read the discs. I had an old 1st edition LG that worked fine but haven't found another since.

Thanks for the info--will give it a try--my LG burner just calls all tracks data tracks
On a side note, just picked up a college party function just because we were listed on the certified list. Can`t hurt to get another library registered.

I am trying to do this also... VERY frustrating!

I have a few of these guys that I want to update from 128 (non compliant) because I am interested in the Audit to get certified.

I have a working Plextor Premium U drive. I can "See" the tracks they mostly come up as Data tracks... My on board drive works on regular SC CDs no problem

So far I've tried:
CDGFix: (Doesnt even show the tracks)
Tricerasoft CD Ripper 2.0: Shows data tracks, rips incorrectly
Goldenhawk's 4.0 - (Dug this out my archives): Shows it but does not support multiple session CDs. Can't do nothing in Sector mode.
MTU's MicroStudio (Demo): Sees the tracks, won't play or burn correctly

Now Trying Power CD+G burner 2 in demo mode just to see if I can grab a little before I buy it.

I've tried the marker thing (On a CD where I had a second instance of the last track) no luck either.

Any success here with any combo of things... I need to find ANYDVD I guess too

i can tell you with absolute certainty right now if it doesn't work with MTU it isn't the software, it's the drive.

try the ANYDVD suggestion and see if that works

Depends on the software & drive you have. My PC's don't read the MQ discs at all (if it doesn't lock the computer up, the software will read the disc but not rip it correctly) even with my MTU Microstudio or Hoster, but both my laptops (one HP & one Toshiba) do and rips them perfectly just like any other with the same software.

The Plextor Drive (And MTU) sees it, it pops right up on the playlist window and Import tracks window. I doesn't play and goes extremely slow in the import mode. Right now it copies just 1:30 (It's in demo mode because I wanted to try before I buy yet another program), but nothing plays or shows (Importing in .BIN mode if that helps any)

I'm trying it now with the ANYDVD software demo installed, but so far, still no luck. Is there a setting in ANYDVD I need to click on?

I don't want to spend $90 on MTU just for 4 CDs and it not work correctly

FYI I have a Dell Laptop, not sure of the drive (HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GU70N if that means something to you)

Try it on your laptop! Again it worked for me of two different latops even though none of my desktop PC's would work!

Post subject:  Re: mediacloq

open anydvd and under the audio cd make sure you check:
"remove cd digital audio protection"

I can't remember if this is set from default..

it will read a mediacloq disc without locking up the drive when you insert a disc.
