for the love of god can anyone help me , ive purchased karma from latshaw systems . and when downloaded it wont load , ive asked latshaw for help and they sent me this notice .. im not a computor techy type guy so can anyone break it down for me in easy laymans terms thank you all Some .Net applications (built with Visual Studio 2005 or later) utilize the My.Settings object for storing user application settings. Sometimes if an application fails to load after you've previously witnessed it load successfully, it is possible that one of the settings is to blame. Windows controls the storage location for these settings and it varies between different versions of Windows.
For Windows XP or Windows 2000: "C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Manufacturer"
For Windows 8, 7, or Windows Vista: "C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Manufacturer"
Make sure the app is not running. Once you navigate to the settings storage folder, you may see multiple folders within it all starting with the application name, or possibly other application names from the same manufacturer as well. Delete all of the folders that start with the name of the application your trying to reset (DO NOT delete any files). After deleting the folders, restart the application and it will start with the default settings set for the app.
im on windows 8.1

On Windows 8.1 -
Make sure Karma is closed.
Navigate to c:\users\{name}\AppData\Local
Where {name} = the account the you are logged into windows with.
Delete the \Karaosoft folder.

Did you get this figured out yet? I too, am not a super wiz at computers, but any time Karma won't start, close it. Go to your documents folder, select the Karma folder, select Karma Data and move it somewhere, anywhere but in the Karma folder. It should open now.
