Last time I was in Portland (OR) they had live karaoke at a local bar.
[edit--this was originally the second post in this thread. The post I was replying to was deleted].

Can you give us a general idea of your route?

There is Striparoke (karaoke at a topless bar) in Portland, OR. Probably other places in the US as well. Live Band Karaoke lots of places. I would avoid participating in karaoke in tourist destinations and stick to people watching. That can be a hoot.

Gee... I work in PA... about 30 minutes from Phili. I'd love to see that Skelator Karaoke show sometime. I never heard of that one. Let me know when you're going to be in that area, and I will try to take off from work so I can join you.

I don't know if I would drive across a big state like Pennsylvania just to see a guy host a karaoke show in a Halloween costume.

I'm sure there's more to it than just a KJ dressed up in a Halloween costume. But, if this "occasional" show that John is referring to is only held around the week of Halloween, then I wouldn't waste my time traveling across the state (I live in NY, but work in PA) for it either.

I hear that there's a karaoke guy in Hawaii that dresses up as Santa Claus in December. Who is coming?

Looks like johnsmith1212 has disappeared off the face of the Earth (or at least off the face of K-Scene).

If I'm reading this thread right, I guess the op's name was johnsmith1212 and he's looking for unique interesting karaoke nights? Either it's my settings or he pulled his original post. Hmm, interesting.

You are reading this correctly, Brian. johnsmith1212 was the Author of this thread, not CafeBar. Now, all traces of him disappeared, and it looks like this topic thread defaulted to the first poster we are now seeing as the Author. I'm curious as to what happened too.
