I'd like to find something that has the following features:
1. iPad selection of MP3+G songs.
2. Wireless mics
3. Easy to use interface
4. HDMI to home theater receiver to TV
My young kids have a Singing Machine, but frankly using discs is annoying and primitive, and wired mics get tripped on all the time.
My current thought is and HDK Box 2.0 and GTD Audio G-622H for microphones
So the questions I have are:
1. Reviews of the HDK box?
2. What about QNAP's OceanKTV software on the NAS?
3. Any other suggestions?

If you have an android box, you can try karaoke addon.
Cavs usa also has a small karaoke box ips11g to check out.
