I have a fill in KJ that only knows karafun.
After installing it it will not import my library correctly. How
can I set karafun to read standard filenames Diskid-artist-title?????

Are your MP3 files tagged? That's how I got it to read my library but I have never used it in an actual show. Personally I would insist on teaching him your software. If he's not willing to learn it then I would pass on using him. I really don't consider KaraFun professional Karaoke Hosting software myself.

Karafun uses ID3 tags to import songs... there is a thing in the REGEDIT you can change but I've tried it and doesn't do anything...

Best solution for your friend is to Import all the songs into KJFILEMANAGER > Select all tracks > WRITE MP3 DATA

keep in mind if you use the search... it will find the song your looking for regardless of the naming.

If you have a large library, it takes forever for the list to populate to what the ID Tags read so far that time the list will look out of wack.

I totally agree with Danny. You are the employer. You should not have to accommodate your employee. If he wants to work for you, he either learns to run your program or he's out.

If the files are zipped Karafun won't be able to read the tag, because the tag is attached to the mp3 file not the zip.

Best solution, easy peasy to run and learn. Reads either by formal naming convention or tags. OpenKJ.
