Ok....i have two mics.....a Shure Sm 58 and a Samson Q7.....i only record for fun in my computer....but my soundcard is really really bad....or wherever it is that i plug my microphone into...the connector for the coundcard is actually loose so theres not a good connection...my vocals end up sounding hollow with a lot...i mean A LOT of noise....so i was wondering what you guys would recommend....ive heard some people get USB soundcards....or mixers...but i seriously dont know what each thing does....money is not an issue as much as space is......i want something relatively small....i also dont want to turn this into a professional studio....i just want my vocals to be nice and clear....so what suggestions do you guys have?....

I kind of had the same type of issues earlier this week and AllStar was kind enough to put in a bunch of info in the Frequently Asked Forums, what mixers are, what they do, etc.

You might want to head over there and check it out. Also look at my thread from this week in this forum called something like "Cheap system good mic?".

I'm always willing to put differences aside for the betterment of man kind and when someone does great work I have no problem acknowledging it and givin kudos to them for it. *smile*

And yeah - actually I spent a few months in St. Louis a long time ago and actually wouldn't mind living there! *LOL*
