I just bought a laptop that right now will pretty much run whatever software I choose to run. That said at bar Show I will be running two different softwares for two different purposes. The first software I will be running is VirtualDJ with EasyKRM rotation management addon. I will be making use of the new lyrics feature and the Stems 2.0 feature and list my DJ catalog with my karaoke library catalog in Ask The DJ remote request system. Because the rotation addon has a specific flaw that affects the filler player (it restarts the filler playlist if say I have to add a singer's next song of it is already his turn to sing and he hasn't put one in yet), I will be using Winamp for my filler player and using Reaper to mix between the two. You can also do this if you are using Karafun or Sax & Dottie's Show presenter because they don't contain a filler player built into the players. I thank Toqer for turning me onto Reaper.

Danny, congrats on the new laptop! As for me, I use the filler player in CompuHost. No need for a separate player or additional software. It automatically fades in or out when a karaoke track is about to start or end. I love it and it works flawlessly.

Anyway, we all like what we like. I do use Virtual DJ when just playing music, though. Enjoy the new laptop!
