Is there such a thing as an external dolby/THX, etc. processor for use with a PA system?? I have an extra system and thought it would be quite groovy to hook it up as my home theater, but don't want to lose the dolby effects from my DVDs. Have you seen such a unit??

Well Dolby systems are generally 5 or more channels that are individually decoded through a separate processor then sent to it's corresponding amp.  A regular 2 channel amp wouldn't gain any Dolby benefit.  I believe there are external decoders that you can buy, but you would need the amount of amps to correspond - kind of like an electronic crossover.
