The powered mixer I had installed in a stationary system at a 2 night/week show finally died after 6 years, and I recently ordered a Peavey XR696F which was backordered (due to ship 7/10/06) now the expected ship date is 8/10/06. And I have seen on more than a couple websites that this model has been discontinued... Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, what other powered mixers can anyone reccommend? |

Well it's a discontinued model, but from the searches i've found http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i- ... d-365.html still has it. Also look into the Mackie 808S box. |

Thanks Lonman, I checked americanmusical, they are out of stock. Same with zzounds, samash, musiciansfriend, musicianbuy and others...and a few sites I checked actually say it has been discontinued. I'm worried that I will wait til 8/10/06 and they will delay it longer. I really need to get a new mixer soon so I don't have to keep bringing in my second setup twice a week, make for a much longer night to setup and take down... Mackie would be my second choice, except, it is too wide to fit in the mounting location. My other choices I suppose would be : Yamaha EMX512SC (heard OK things about Yamaha) Soundcraft GigRac 1000ST (Don't know much about these at all) Behringer PMH880S (Don't really like Behringer) Anyone know about these or any others I should check into? Maybe Peavey is coming out with a replacement model....that would be nice, but I don't think I can wait that long... Thanks again, Flip |
