Wayside Inn- Sun.& Weds. Starts at 7:00 or 7:30.

Just north of Portland. Take Hwy 30 out of Portland
past St.Johns. Watch the signs. It will be on the right-hand side.
Very nice atmosphere. The locals are all cool and really enjoy the
singing. They have really good food there too. It takes a little
time to get there, but it's a beautiful drive. I like going on
Sundays. Hosted again by Mark. (this guy's a lot of fun)
Scapoose is about 35-45 minutes away. The Wayside Inn is on the
right-hand side. There is parking in the back. It has a real 'homey'
atmosphere. Mark, of UBA Star Karaoke, runs the show. He has a good
system, lots of music, and is probably one of the better hosts in
town. I think he goes from 7-11pm on Sunday. I haven't been there in
a while, but every sunday I've been there he's had a decent crowd but
not super busy. When you go out there, once you get past the
industrial area, it's a real nice drive. Especially on sunday when
the traffic is really light. As far as music, Mark did away with his
Pioneer laser disc "foundation" music selection and is now using DK
cdg for his selection base. He also uses lots of Sound Choice,
StarDisc, Music Maestro, and Chartbuster for his newer music and
everything in-between. (for the benefit of others who aren't aware
of the Wayside Inn and good ol' Mark.)

McGuffy's - Hillsboro does it Friday and Saturday, CDEntertainment - hosted by Dave Albertson; (Hip Hop, R & B, not total karaoke... a lot of dance music mixed in)
starting at 9:00 - 2:00. TUNS of Songs!! Ask him about his Wednesdays and Thursdays at his gig over at Wilsonville!!!

The Golden Fountain. Canyon & Hall, must be Great Wall (bar was
called "Hole in the Wall"). Before that it was a strip club known
as "Mama Mia's". It is catering to the just turned 21 crowd?
a real stage facing a dance floor that was surrounded by the bar
on one side and table/chairs around the remaining areas. If you
know that new shopping center on the corner of Murray and
Scholl's Ferry, it's up one block on Murray from there. It's
tucked in the coner of the building that houses the Thriftway
and True Value - right where those two arms of the building meet.

Golden Crown on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy, in Beaverton (warning:
service at Golden Crown is really slow)
Thurs-Sun nights (Sun starting at 8 PM because they close at midnite).
the other reason i liked it there was because the ventilation system
worked really well. host there is much better than the one they used
to have... stopped going there because of him ...
(Thursday and Sunday starting at 8 PM, Friday and Saturday at 9:30.)
