to quote the words of one of the gurus that is normally here but is missing in action soundblaster is great for reproduction of sound but not so good for recording. I have a soundblaster live usb external and it sounds fine for playback was always disappointed in the sound of recordings however |

ok its similar to my peavy if you want to set it up for playback you would simply plug into either channel 7 or 8 that have a left and right jack if you wish to take a line from your mixer to the soundcard to record take it from the left and right outputs on the bottom right of your mixer and into your line in of your soundcard if you wish to cancel out the speakers and record using headphones simply put a dummy jack in the extreme right jack point on the row on the bottom right of your mixer and then take it out when you want the audio to go back thru speakers no doubt I havent been as techy as many others but hope that helps |

![]() Morgan, I record off my amp... the only thing this soundcard does is convert the signal to rca connections, which I hook up as the "cd" connection. I record off the pre-amp out. I've never had one complaint about sound. I'm no techie, so I can't argue the specifics of the Delta card, or whatever vs the Soundblaster MP3+ USB device. I will say I've tried soundblaster CARDS and found them wanting for pure audio. But this sucker is a hidden gem! |

this is the one I have and have replaced with m-audio fastrack recording usb interface. the playback on the sb external is fine. I found the recording quality left something to be desired. It was substandard even to the sb live internal card in my opinion |

well, talking about deals, how about this: click here add something small to make the total over $50, then use google check out to save $20, that make your sound card 30 bucks or so. |

I've used both a Creative Labs MP3+ and the ADS Tech USB soundcards with excellent results. I'm looking at the Mackie d.4 that will be out later next year for DJ'ing and I'll be able to play music directly through it over firewire. Might add the firewire card to my Mackie Onyx 1620 and playback through it though. There are LOTS of options out there... a little checking will show you LOTS of possibilities from Creative Labs, M-Audio and plenty of others.... I've had good results with many of them... |
