So I have become convinced that I am going to have to get a different setup to get the sound I want.  HOw do these compare:
Stagepas 300
Kustom Profile Two 300W PA System
Kustom KPM8420T / KPC215H PA Package
Yamaha EMX212S-BR12 PA Package

Given that there is a couple hundred difference between the Stagepas and the others, is the difference worth it?  Which one is the best overall value? Thanks for any help.

If I were to go with anything there, I would opt for the EMX/BR combo.  You will get a fuller sound & a better mixer/effect IMO.

I tried both of the Kustom units, but never tried the Stage Pas.

I was going to do some really small venues and tried them to see if they would work. They sounded ok but mixing music was the pitts!

Yamaha setup would be far better for you. Don't expect much bottom end from those speakers but its a good start.

What will you be using this setup for?  What Sound are you trying to get?

Is this a Home or KJ setup?

Do you have a budget established?

Your response leads me to believe that you would not recommend any of them.  What do you recommend in this price range?
Thanks again.

Then you will be quite satisfied with the Yamaha unit as it gives you better control of your mix on vocals and effects.

Whatever system you pick, you will need one that have effect for the vocal built in. Without the efx you either have to buy an outboard unit or sing without one.

I was at a home holiday party last week and we sang through a Fender Passport.  Not a bad system at all for home use.  I did not believe it was the deluxe version (I did not look that closely at the set up).  However, it seemed to be perfect for a home party.  It had more bottom end than I expected from smaller speakers.

Cheers

Randy

The Yamaha system is priced @ $750 at guitar center

That's a nice little package for home use. It will have plenty of power for you and it has the effects processor you will need for vocals.

You really cant go wrong with this system. It will have everything you need except a karaoke player and the cables to connect it. But it has everything else you need for your setup.

If you have the money.....my vote is to go for it! :dancin:
