Hey Sammy or anyone else who cares. My choices are as follows. The Yamaha 1,000 watt board for 700.00 or the Yamaha 800 watt box style for 615.00. Which do you feel is the better deal. I do karaoke shows and sing lead in a local rock band. Any feedback is appreciated. |

More power is better not necessarily bigger. More power will give a cleaner sound at regular listening levels than a smaller wattage amp at the same volume. Both will get loud & work just fine, but the higher power amp won't fatigue your ears as fast - unless you pushing it to the max which then it doesn't really matter what you get. Since you didn't give the model numbers of either, just guessing the 1000 watter is a table top model with sliders. Sliders are my preference over rotary knobs. |

For no more difference in price, I'd go for the 1,000 watter. 800 may be fine for what you do, but you'll forever be saying shoulda, coulda, woulda. |

Thanks for all the feedback, I went ahead and got theEMX50001. What aan awesome machine. Its gonna take sometime to dial in but this is the answer. 1,000 watts and all the effects and eq. I need. Gonna break it in tonight should be very interesting................ |
