When ME first came out we were doing phone support for Nikon digital cameras ans scanners. Me was the first that eliminated DOS for the kernel. We found through experimeintation you didnt dare hookup anything usb before installing the software and drivers. With ME more than 2 usb devices attached locked up the system.

My sis bought the little Acer slim tower which is a nice little box. I set it up and came back to Greeley.. She called me on the phone trying to find a lexmark printer driver for vista. 64 bit or ????  Try the 32 I dont think its 64 Ok she downloded it which was a zip file.  Vista didnt know what kind of file and with a dble click gave the not a valid win 32 app..

So when I made it over there I said I got winzip on this external usb hard drive. A drive I use on the laptop for shows. I plugged it in the usb vista didn t even know what it was .... I didnt have any flash drives with and I sure wasnt going to try a cat5 cross... Somehow I got it unzipped  and working..

Now the latest deal is on the phone again she installed A Kodac digital camera software. Shde gets an error when she boots up something about no recourses availible. Sheclicks ok but the comp wont shutdown. I had her go into add-remove programs all the 3rd party stuff that Acer installed is listed but not Kodac.  I had her look in the kodac folder in progs for an uninstall exec none...

I had her go to run msconfig no more She did find something to take it out of start. but still same problems. She is about ready to throw it in the trash  We havnt even mentioned the little nuances and bugs that I have never seen in any OS IT Sucks!!!!!

My sentiments exactly....Vista is the biggest pile of steaming crap that Bill trew over the fence to us sheeple since ME.

I HATE IT, I HATE IT, I deel with it on a daily basis, and HATE IT!!!!!!!

My current XP setup has been working just fine since 2004 and I've added all kinds of different hardware and software with very little trouble. I keep up on most of the XP updates that apply to my setup. From what I've read and from the testimonies I've heard, Vista at this point is a "big white elephant" with nothing but compatability problems.  I have no interest in trying to tackle it just because some ad campaign says it's the latest/greatest LMAO thing to come down the pipeline.

I have always associate vista with the credit card LOL . I still don't have full confidence in xp and am still using win 2000. :yes:
