It was brought to my attention that there is a 'vote to ban this member' button. Unfortunately, due to the belligerence of a certain member that has caused quite a bit of turmoil here, even in the short time since I became an active member, I felt forced to exercise my right to vote that that member be banned. I've also reported another member for abuse, an obvious violation of the forum rules as posted by webguru.

Well here it is not two days later, and it appears that one of these members has retaliated with a ban vote of their own, giving me an undeserved black mark on my new and previously unblemished record here.

Since it appears that a certain number of ban votes will automatically ban a member, what's to stop belligerent members from creating numerous bogus accounts, and succeeding in banning people that disagree with them?

Your thoughts, please.

we've had a couple of banned members TRY to create bogus accounts. Webguru stops them... or if singers or members here find out about the new accounts, they tell him, and Phil acts on it!

Ultimately, the Banning is up to the owners of this site.

I just assist in running this wonderful place on the web for all you terrific people who like to be part of it.

So the best way I believe to answer your question is to say that anyone can vote to ban anyone - even if it is just a bogus attempt to eliminate someone they do not personally care for - (in my opinion very childish!)However again the final decision is up to the owners...

Having said that - No worries... If you belive you or someone else have been unjustly voted to be banned or if there is a real need to ban a party from this site - it is best to directly contact the owners via the contact us link or me via a PM.

Well the one good thing about it is he can only press it on anyone person just one time only. Other than now, I have actually never seen anyone use it.
