Why am I not out singing? I know, it IS friday night. But I have been trying to get over one of those "never ending" sore throats. I'm not "sick", haven't lost my voice completely, but it's just not been right for about a month or more. Kinda a bit scratchy, and I can't hit my higher notes, can't hit falsetto, everything sounds a bit rough. And I HATE it.
yuck! sorry to hear about that. i haven't practiced with the band all week due to allergies so i can truly understand. although i do have a gig tonight.

I got some Budweiser, I'm gonna crank up my new system, have my kids be my "groupies".....(I'll threaten to ground them from the phone if they don't whoop & holler everytime I finish a song)....... and I'll sit on a barstool in between singing (while they have their turns). I even get to choose when I'm up next. :D So, all this and NO smokey atmosphere. Not to mention, no drunken idiots wanting to dance with me or duet with me (now that sounds bad, but I have dueted with drunk people before cause I wouldn't say no.... and that's hard to pull off with a smile- IF I'm sober) So, this way I can have my fun and let my voice heal a bit.
sound like a great plan! hope you had fun, anyway!
