Phil still can't post in the threads, is having trouble accessing the site at all, and even having trouble communicating through PM He is here, however, working on the problems. So, I'm passing on his message, please spread this to every member you talk to: Anyone who does not have a valid email address listed in their profile here will be deleted. If you are sent a message from the site and it doesn't go through because of an invalid email listed, your username will be immediately removed from the boards. And yes, he's serious- so spread the word and check your profiles to make sure. |

Yes this is all true. I sent Phill a PM yesterday asking him why it was no longer possible to access any of the forums without being logged in. He was finally able to reply after several attempts. He is indeed having difficulty sending PM's and posting anything at all in the forums. Apparently more updates in the software were made and this has caused new problems to arise. |

Man is this aggravating ! Having to log in over 50 times in one visit here...I keep getting a message that I have to have a minumum of 1 post to access certain areas too . Singers Showcase is screwy on my pc too dunno bout anyone elses, but all 0's in the comment # spots...I hope all of this gets fixed soon. My pm stuff is working ok right now. |

Kelly, yeah, we all see "0 comments" in the showcase, that's kinda screwy. Problem is, Phil is having so much trouble accessing the site himself, then when he gets here, he's limited as to what he can do. He said it takes him 5 or 6 tries to even return a PM. Yikes.... we're kinda screwed without him here to fix things. 
Other than the way things look in the showcase, I don't seem to be having any trouble so far with the site. (knock on wood... I probably shouldn't have said that out loud)

I thought it was quite funny earlier when I tried to sign in from a different computer (different IP- yes America Online in fact) and although it appeared as though I was signed in, when I attempted to read the "Announcement" section of the bboard I got the following message. "Sorry, You are not allowed to read the announcements until you have one post" So I signed back in and tried to access the OT forum "Sorry, You are not allowed to access this forum until you have one post" I just found something quite Ironic about that message . |

AOL has a serious problem with these boards for some reason. I've heard complaints from users that need to physically 'login' at least 4-5 times before they are actually logged in. I have AOL as well & have experienced the same problems. One workaround is when you are logged into AOL, do not access the forum through AOL, open an actual Internet Explorer window - not through AOL, but the actual IE icon that is 'usually' found on you desktop. This has been proven successful alot of the time. |

Try Firefox. I have never had any problems (dont know about SS). If I relaunch Firefox I do have to log in again but with auto the handle and password is entered and a click logs in 1 second. Also the View posts since last visit is reset to 0. Delete everything after .....com/ and type in viewonline.php... Go there and then bookmark this. I also have an email addy unique to this site and it is configured to forward to hotmail. With ms live messenger If somebody posts in a thread I am subscribed to the little window pops up lower right and says you have a email from karaoke forum... |

This has been proven successful alot of the time. yeah, that's an old work around for a few bulliten boards I used to go to when I used my mom's pc, when she had AOL. I'd just minimize everything, and then open a new internet session!

I think I finally resolved my access issue - I am looking into the other problems. I had a severe cookie issue. (Not the ones you eat)
I ended up deleting and reinstalling IE and Firefox. Then went into the Temp folders and manually deleting all .txt cookies. I hope this is functioning now. |
