Is there a program that will allow you to rip a song off from a disk AND tag it as well? I use a CAVS system, so when I ripped the disks, I just renamed them with numbers and that was it. I sometimes use a computer and it would be so much nicer if these songs were tagged so I could search for them and cue them all in one motion.
One of my local pirates told me there was, but I didn't believe him. Plus, knowing that there isn't will tell me for sure that he is a pirate.

If you mean putting the Artist/Song Title/Disk Number into the song file name, yes most CDG ripping programs do that. That is provided the Disk is in the online databases and for the majority of karaoke disks that is the case.

No, that is not what I am referring to. If you go to any MP3 file and right click "Properties", you will see that there is "tags" for Artist, Song Title, Album, Genre, etc. Every media player I know reads these tags (in addition to the file name) and returns them in your search results. Many even display the information in the tags in your library and can separate/list by the criteria mentioned.

I see that it allows the user to write the tags. I am looking for a program that will find the disk in a database and write the tags for me (much like Windows Media Player will do for a standard CD)

It depends on how much information you want or need in the tag---MP3Tag (free program by the way) will write a tag based on the file name so if your file name includes artist, title, track info you can do it that way.
