I've seen there are quite a number of sites that sells cover accompaniment tracks both custom and karaoke. Is it legal anyway or is there any regulations whatsoever?

It's my understanding that it's the downloaded tracks with the lyric sweeps included that aren't legal or licensed for U.S. based karaoke shows.

I know that Amazon sells karaoke/background tracks without the lyrics sweeps. these MIGHT me legal- but I wouldn't bet my life on it- for U.S. based shows. However, they wouldn't be much use, unless the singer knew the song by heart.

Don't listen to Joe's mis-information Edgar, listen to someone who distributes karaoke:

Thanks a lot, but is there anyone involving in selling karaoke tracks I'd love to hear from them.

Yup, a good post- and if you had comprehended it properly, you would understand that it doesn't conflict with anything I've said.

You may wish to re-read it.... Slowly.
