Recently I bought two custom disks from the Sound Choice site, and saw another company listed called Abraxa. Anyone know who they are, and are their tracks any good?

Let's not start another SC bashing thread, I just want to know about Abraxa.

My first choice IS Sound Choice.

I could be wrong, but someone told me that Abraxa was owned by soundchoice.

As to quality, I have only ordered two of their tracks so far, but I was extremely happy with both.

If u aren't sure about it, you could always go over to www.selectatrack.com and see if they have the version you want there. All of their tracks have a 30sec preview.

I've heard the same thing, that Abraxa is SC.

Abraxa is SBI. I think that they have entered into distribution deals with SC but haven't heard that they are actually owned by them. I have often wondered if they bought some SC tracks and put their own graphics to them as some SC rarities have become available on SBI but I haven't actually compared them to make sure.

Abraxa isn't SC, at the least they don't use the same music anyway. SC might own or be affiliated with. I have some Abraxa, they are ok, not great. Heard someones disc last night with a couple, one was good, the other was almost SGB quality, even he told me to turn it off it was so bad.

Abraxa has SBI tracks but different graphics (like Karaoke Channel and Sound Choice).

I don't think that Abraxa has ALL of the SBI tracks, but they may have a few additional ones they have obtained from som smaller manus.

They aren't necessarily SBI either. Alot of the UK manus share tracks it seems, probably to save on production costs. Sunfly uses SBI tracks now as well.

Not quite... Abraxa is one of the Manufacturers that SBI offers. Abraxa is NOT SBI.

I don't know Cue, looking at their website, they give the impression that Abraxa may be a division of SBI. The address that Leopard Lizard gives is the only one I could find listed on their contact page. Just like Chevy and GMC, same company, often the same product, just different name.
