This is another post I gleaned from the same Karaoke Universe Yahoo Group. I’ll bet we don't see much of these. Or, maybe a public declaration of guilt in the editorial section of their local paper as well as on every karaoke related web site should be part of any settlement. Practical?; probably not. But it IS Justice.

I Just wanted To Post Here To The Group, That I Have Settled My LawSuit With Sound Choice. For The Last Two Years, It Has Been Ecentrinc. Dealing With Them For Two Years Trying To Come Up With A Proper Settlement. I Just Sent Them A 5 Figure Check.. I'll Be First And Foremost To Tell You... They Are Not Messing Around. I Thought I Would Be The Guy That Wouldn't Get In Trouble... Boy Was I wrong. Whew! Believe It Or Not Sound Choice Has Got P I's in Almost Every Establishment That Offers Karaoke In The State Of Florida. Kinda Scary.. If You Are Like Me And Got Dooped Into Buying A Hard Drive From Someone... Get Ready To Go Through Hell... That I Promise You.

Whooo Hoooo I'm waiting for the first 6 figure settlement...and Big Al is correct they are everywhere in Florida now....and will be continuing to add states...think of it like swiss cheese....little holes start...here and there them get bigger and soon more holes than cheese

Personally, I don't see a problem with someone making a public statement about what they went through as a result of piracy. I see it as a very plain warning to those who engage in it for profit. I would like to see a lot more of them do it!

But Big Al is legit now and can run his business without fear, the settlement probably cost him around years worth of income, he has paid his debt and can now move forward.

Athena, there have already been several 5 figure settlements and some on the high side of 5 figures, I don't think that a 6 figure event is too far off.
