We have no idea what a home user might have bought if they didn't have a pirate drive. They wouldn't have bought 250,000 tracks but they still might have bought songs. When we were singers most of us had notebooks of their own CDGs they brought to shows so that they could have a unique song or sing to what they practiced with at home. Now few claim to see that anymore. The box stores used to have a karaoke section and now most of those have disappeared. Of course home users now have more options than we do for legal access to songs via streaming and subscriptions so you can't judge by CDG sales alone but we really can't assume that home pirated drives didn't impact sales.
