Then let ME say it... I have media shifted my discs! No, I'm NOT certified! Smooth, you and a couple of others, are taking this way too far and should back off a bit and chill out.

Chris, Attached is a picture I have on the front and back of all my song books. You would be surprised on how few people even care that we own our music! . Currently the photo is in black and white about 1/2 a page, but I'm going to change it to full page and color. I actually have couple hundred more that aren't in the photo, but I think this gets the point across.

Request permission to borrow your sign, mrmarog. Great idea. I’d like to do the same; attach a picture with a sign on the front of my song books - “Original Manufacturers’ Discs. Yes, we own all of our music…..etc.”

But in the case of encrypted files the pirated file could be traced back to the dongle, as it is adding part of the digital watermarking to the audio file.

Of course this would only work with new files utilizing this type of DRM environment. So, for example, if Sound Choice were to produce new works they could implement this to help stave off new piracy.

I don't think you understand what you are talking about. You are planning on watermarking analog audio?

I do not hate either Kurt or Jim. I don't know them. I am not stupid enough to think that internet forum debates are a way to know the full range of someone's personality.

I would add that off-forum communications with Jim have always been civil and respectful- with pleasant even thrown in now and again.

As a matter of fact, the one phone call that I shared with Kurt was civil as well- though we both sort of avoided certain subjects.

Hate? Only in your your mind Chris. I'll tell you something else. I have had many off-forum phone conversations with some of those whose views on SC are completely opposed to mine, and have made some friends in the process. I also continually invite those whose views differ from mine ( and of course, those who agree) to call me.

Any "hate" here on this forum seems to be minimal to almost nonexistent.

Welcome back Brian. Nice Pool Table... oh, and nice collection of disks too.

Nice to be back to the old grind. ‘been inactive from the forum for 4 months. To make it short – it was just a sh**ty twist of fate that turned my world upside down. My wife was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer & I devoted my time attending to her needs mostly dr.’s appt’s & hospitalization. But all is well & good. It’s in remission after 9 chemo sessions. No regrets, definitely worth the effort.

Miss this place (especially the wits of ‘cough cough’ alan b & bazza) i’m kidding. My apologies for sidetracking a bit from the topic.

I intentionally used a strong word to demonstrate just how intense and unwavering people are about this. The absolute inability to accept anything but ones own truth must be attributed to something. I attach it to hate in this case because it fits well with tone of the responses. The other words that fit well are stupidity and ignorance, bit of which are the groundwork for hate.
