this is why Cue was so harsh Joe. you are the first to tout "check your sources" "do your research" and pointed out many times ebay and Amazon selling whatever they want. did our research and no one but Ebay and Amazon sell it, it was screaming that something is wrong and looking for something to save it as many people like them.
happens to everyone, say one thing, do another and they get called on it.
There was no reason for anyone to be harsh. I did my research and checked my sources, and because I use the original discs, liability for these tracks rests solely on the mfr.. The same applies to Music Maestro, Top Tunes, Back Stage (yeccchhh), or any other OOB mfr. that may or may not have had it's licensing in order. This would also include many Chartbuster Tracks and Sound Choice tracks.
In other words, Karaoke Kurrents is no different than SC or CB, Stellar, or all those other brands.
You folks are taking all of those tracks out your libraries, are ya? Yeah- me either.
Virtually every karaoke producer than virtually every Karaoke Host has in their collection has run into licensing problems.
The worst that I could ever get hit with by a publisher is a cease and desist, and while media shifters may
possibly find themselves with more liability, chances are they would probably simply get the same.
So why the rude posts?
I am of the opinion that if Cue truly wanted to know where to find KK discs, he would have done the same as the rest of us - an internet search.
Apparently, my sincere desire to lend a hand was met disingenuous intent. I expect problems when I post in regard to the very heated SC debates, but not when I am attempting to help one who I have thought as a nice guy.
To say that I am surprised and disappointed would not cover it. Kinda puts a damper on the exchange of information with colleagues through good will, you know?
Ah well- no good deed.....
