LMAO!!!! Sometimes I wish I could. Me and weed don't get along too well. We haven't for many years.

Yup, me too. I did it quite a bit around 35-40 years ago. It ended the night I got the munchies and ate a whole bag of pistachio nuts- while being too stoned to hull them. Call me Machine Gun Joe, but after an excrutiatingly uncomfortable day, it was easy to call it quits.... :bawling:

BTW- eating a pound of caramels at a sitting can make your jaws sore for awhile too....

LMFAO!!! That is awesome!! You are lucky you didn't perforate your bowels. OUCH!! 35-40 years ago? How old are you, 80?? :)

Yes they are, but the last time had pistachios I had a sever alergic reaction and my eyes swole shut. At least it wasn't my throat, but can't take the chance:(

Compared to a fly, I'm Methuselah. Compared to a redwood, I'm a fetus.

Compared to The Goddess, I'm just right....

I look like my avatar, bad haircut and all...

Can you imagine? 18 grand on dental work after 8 years in the cage AND getting hit in the mouth with a baseball- I now have a fantastic smile- and they leave me with my own face. Life just ain't fair.... :bawling:

Nope, blessed with blue-eyed blonde gorgeous woman 22 years my junior who is able to match my energy levels AND my intellect, when most that age that I run into are low energy twinkies.
She can also sing the chrome off a trailer hitch....Anything from Etta James to Gretchen Wilson- AND she's a CIA ( Culinary Institute Of America) trained chef. Life is freakin' awesome....

NICE!! I wish mine could sing. I love her to death, but tone gets a new meaning with her. She will tell you the same. LOL

My husband used to say the same thing about me!! But what was worse, one Christmas the family was around the piano singing Christmas Carols...my mom playing beautifully as usual, when she turned around and told me to lip-sync!! Now that was BAD!! Well, a few days later I was driving home from shopping and found myself near the studio where my daughter was taking lessons. I decided to go in... I asked Jimmy if he could teach me to sing. He said, "Of course, you have a voice don't you? All you need is to be taught how to use it." So that week I started lessons, within about 6 weeks I was singing in public. Eight months later I started working for Jimmy, DJing and KJing. That was 13 years ago. People at my shows now, ask me to sing! They think I've always sang like this!! I'm still not sure that I sound all that good, but as long as the customers do, that's all that matters. AND my mom and my husband both say that it's amazing that now I have such a 'beautiful voice'. Jimmy was right, I just needed to be taught how to use my voice!

There is one downside though. My ear got trained in the process, so where other not-so-good singers didn't bother me in the past.. .now they do!! I learned a new trick.... adjust their sound, then turn off my ears!!

I actually never knew someone could be taught how to sing. I know people who could sing could be trained to sing better and could be taught techniques that would help them, but I never knew that you could take a person who couldn't sing and teach them how. That's awesome. I bet you enjoy it.

I do enjoy it. And so does hubby after the way I used to sound!! LOL I've never seen a student Jimmy couldn't teach to sing at least decent...that is if they didn't give up, if they practiced and kept with it... 6 months and they are good enough for public, a year and they can try just about any song. 2-3 years and it's just a matter of keeping the 'instrument' tuned. We've had a couple of students get recording contracts. and another one was in the broadway musical Cats. :)
If I can be taught, anyone can be taught!!

Too bad you're not in Florida. My lady could use your hubby's services. I can sing, but I have no clue how to teach it. I'm not sure who my son takes after yet. It's weird, sometimes it seems he can carry a tune. Other times it's like fingernails on a chalk board. The strange thing is that he does have an ear, because he can match me note for note when I ask him too. That gives me hope.
