Has there been any progress on the Red Peters karaoke site?
Also... Is "When I Jerk Off, I Think Of You" being made?
I've been ending my show with The Closing Song for about 5 years now.

Although I was hoping to purchase mp3+g formatted downloads like what Jonathan Coulton sells.

These are not the ones being produced for Karaoke. These are vocal tracks with words on the screen.

Stay tuned....they should be available for purchase with no vocal lead soon....

You'll be able to, Dan. Chip made Karaoke versions of all of the songs for Red Peters. I believe it won't be long before they're going to be selling them in MP3+G format.

I'll have Chip check with Red and get back to you.

I can't wait... There's about 6 songs that I definitely want.

There are karaoke as well as vocal with the lyrics there on YouTube.
Found "When I Jerk Off", and opened my show with it.
The lyrics don't highlight, but it's not like I don't know the song.

Can't wait for the mp3+G downloads though.
I'll probably buy them all!

You can not legally post karaoke tracks created by the manufacturers to YouTube - but people do anyway.
You can not legally play karaoke tracks created by the manufacturers from YouTube at a show - but people do anyway.

All we can do it report them.

When we hear back from Red, I'll let you know when the legal tracks will be available for purchase. Chip has finished them all - it's just a matter of getting the site up.

But remember that these tracks were uploaded to Youtube by Red Peters, so it is legal to play them at home, I guess But we CAN'T download them
