I have been told I can be quite cryptic. I will try not to be so you can have some fun. Lep. made me do it. The History This is about a memory scam sourced from China. At places like http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/256gb+usb+stick.html Real ones cost around $700. They can be seen all over the internet and yes, they can be seen on ebay. They are all fake and either 2 or 4gb in size. They have an embeded software program that make a pc see it as 256gb. You can even copy 256gb onto it. The file names are there and they will even show the original file size, but they are corrupt. Anything over 4Gb will be corrupt. Ie not there. The same incidentally goes for 128 & 64Gb It also goes for 64, 32 and 16Gb SD cards for phone or camera. If you raise a dispute with paypal over any of these, paypal refund without asking any questions and they do not require it to be returned. Paypal already know they are fake. The selling price is a dead give away. The nutcase I have been warning victims for over 18 months and have caused over 2000 Transactions to be reversed. I have just found something a bit bigger than I know what to do with. Guys you are all cordially invited to help. The case A person or persons in Singapore have decided to do a lion share on selling fake memory. In it I see some organisation. The feedback people These are just a few who tie the sellers together. You will see they keep cropping up in feedback. There are others. Notice when they joined ebay. bobobze Member since: 26-Sep-10 Location: Singapore netaxx Member since: 26-Sep-10 Location: Singapore dwikim Member since: 26-Sep-10 Location: Singapore Ok now for some sellers. Their All Feedback page is nothing special. Again see when they joined ebay. Now, look at their Feedback left for others page. help_me.pls Member since: 03-Oct-11 in Singapore http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... world=true pls.buuuuy Member since: 06-Oct-11 Location: Singapore http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... world=true do.my.best2 Member since: 06-Oct-11 Location: Singapore http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... world=true seiier.211 No longer a registered user Member since: 06-Oct-11 Location: Singapore http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... world=true seek.your.help Member since: 06-Oct-11 Location: Singapore http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... world=true yes.buy.me Member since: 06-Oct-11 Location: Singapore http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... world=true It must at this point be remembered that ebay would not like it to be known that we know this. They estimate a billion $ income from the sale of fake items. All the details can be easily and quickly checked out but what next? |

Jerry, I can't thank you enough for that post. I was about to go find a memory card for my new Kyros. I think maybe I'll just hit Staples instead.... |

Another one saved..... What cracks me up is at one time Jerry12x had tried to warn Ebayers about this by putting up a "fake" page advertising a Brand X Memory Stick and then warning people that many were fakes and please be sure you patronize only the real Brand X when you buy, etc. He got a warning from the real Brand X to take down the page due to trademark infringement. |

No. The warning I got was from ebay for advertising fake memory. Sadly everyone else who advertises "It's fake and only holds half the amount" Where they are lying through their teeth because it is 4Gb max... Ebay allows. Now this guy will become a millionaire before christmas. (Fine) All on the misery of others. (people like us) (Not Fine) I have had emails saying "too late, I lost my wedding pics" The photographs and personal stuff people have been cheated out of can be very sad to read. How do you answer " I just lost my dissertation? I have a forum full of intelligent people. I was hoping for a bit more than the butler did it. I don't know what to do now. Ebay are not interested. Help me guys. Please. Or is it just karaoke we complain about? |

jerry12x wrote: ...Or is it just karaoke we complain about? Nope. Would you believe my biggest gripe is the leafblower? They sure can ruin a perfect day with their noise. I recently read an article that stated the following: Most gas powered blowers are 2 strokes, and have absolutely no emission control. One blower running for one hour emits more toxic exhaust than SEVENTEEN modern cars for the same period. These blowers can reach 85-90 decibel noise levels- above safety levels for unprotected ears. The user may wear protection, but what of neighbors and family- such as babies? ALL types blow away topsoil and dehydrate plants. BTW- Did you know that they were originally developed to spread powdered insecticide? Just some trivia... Raking aerates and de thatches, it's good exercise, and it freakin' QUIET. See? I can complain about other stuff.... |
