For those of us, who for one reason or another, do not agree with SC's media shifting policies, I would like to create a list, if you will, of karaoke companies that will allow us to media shift their music, without giving us grief over it. Also you can include LEGAL purchasable download sites. No peer to peer networks, please. So far we know: SGB All Star Tricerasoft: 1. All Songs are sold for USE and permission for KJs, Enthusiasts, or Private/Home entertainment. Songs can not be sold, redistributed, or shared. You agree to be the sole user of the content and each receipt will represent ONE copy of the song for use as a KJ, Enthusiast, or Private/Home user. |

I suggest you link to the proof for each company or it really doesn't mean anything. Just putting a name on a list doesn't make it so. -Chris |

The proof is in this forum. |

Well.....if you are going to create a database, you should link to the proof. Databases are meant to collect and organize information. Collect the appropriate information and add it all to the database. One of the reasons we re-hash the same arguments over and over is because there is no centralized lookup and people don't want to scour old posts for the information. For new users coming on, they would have to take you at your word that you proved Tricerasoft was okay to media-shift unless you link back to the proof. -Chris |

Add Party Tyme to the list: Hi, > I am in the process of starting a karaoke show. I was wondering what your policy for ripping your tracks to a hard drive are. Would there be any probem if I were to maintain a 1:1 ratio between disc and computer? Thank you for your response. > Hi Bobby, We appreciate your honesty and if you bought it - you can rip it. That seems to be the universal policy.
