Just like the My Sweet Lord vs He's So Shy, the song Ghostbusters matches up pretty close to Gangnam Style to be considered a copywrite violation - however since Ghostbusters was almost a direct rip off from I Want A New Drug from Huey Lewis, not sure who would be the pursuer (if at all). |

The op’s title heading “My Sweet Lord vs He's So Shy all over again?” falls under legalities. George Harrison vs. The Chiffons - GH allegedly infringed on the copyright song, He’s So Fine. Harrison claimed that he did not knowingly copy the melody of their song; the Chiffons claiming the melody of both songs were very similar. It was an out of court settlement if I’m not mistaken.(I'm a Beatles trivia freak, solid fan!)  From op’s thread title he foresees a similar case brewing, thus in the legalities category.
