Are there any pirates who read this board?

If so, let's see if they respond.

Probably get a better response on "The All Pirate Forum"

Also, how would using GEMS make a pirate "Legitimate"?

The first question requires a reply that would self-incriminate the Pollee for a punishable legal act.

The second is based on an untrue assumption, so it's reply would have to be inaccurate by default.

I submit that this poll is incorrectly worded, with questions that require inaccurate replies.
.....

The question should read, "If You Are A Pirate, Would You Buy A Gem To Legitimize in Sound Choice's eyes?".

Let's just get past the words
BUY
LEASE
LICENSE
RENT

and move along.

Not necessarily. Responding YES or NO to the poll itself does not reveal who you are. Unless there is a way for Phil to specifically tell who clicked YES and who clicked NO, there is no self-incrimination. Then of course there's the aliases we use with our names here. I'm listed as Cueball. Do you know my real name? Tracking my IP would only take you so far... I could have created my account here by using a PC in the Public Library, and maybe even use those same PCs whenever I log on to this site.

Nope! It appears that 4 of the 16,000 members of this forum are pirates, according to this poll, & 3 would at least legitimize with a GEM.

NO, because if what Bazza and others say is true "CDG's (in form of discs) will soon be worthless" (not an exact quote).....so I'll just sit back and wait. Then I'll buy it all up REAL CHEAP. Oh, that's right, that's what I'm already doing. I will own tons of music instead of "leasing" it. I will have to admit that SC discs are getting harder to pick up CHEAP, but it is still possible.

So what you are saying mrmarog is that this poll doesn't reflect reality?

I would put me money on that, but there is one, who has posted within this silly old post.......that would think it be very scientific..........tain't me, for I doubt I'm even the pirate you be looking for...... :)

Based on the OP's Poll/question,
Quote:
If You Are A Pirate, Would You Buy A Gem To Legitimize?
the way I am reading your response, you are saying that you are a Pirate, and you would not get the GEM series to become legitimate (in SC's eyes), because you want to scoop up as many CDGs (cheaply) as you can.

Still trying to figure out how using GEMS makes a pirate "Legitimate"??????

Cue, as you can see from my picture, I think I own a small legal library. So pirate I am not, matey. Every 5 inches of cd's is approximately 100 cd's. The "Bricks" are 6 1/2" and the "Foundation 2" is 11" long (for reference)

As already stated the OP's question is poorly worded and any response is subject to scrutiny. I was just keeping the thread going in a similar direction as the OP's intention. Unlike many of the other posts in this thread.

Are you saying like mine? LOL. I am using Dragon natural speaking volume 12.5 to write this. It seems to work pretty good. This is awesome.

I already commented about this too... The words "In Sound Choice's eyes" should be added at the end of that question.

I wasn't accusing you of being a pirate. I know you have a ton of discs in storage. I even bought 1 or 2 from you. I was just saying that the way you worded you response, it sounded like you were admitting to being a pirate.

You realize I set this poll up as a farce, don't you?

There is nothing "scientific" about any polls here.

According to the poll, there are 6 members out of 16,000 here on this forum that are pirates.

Do you really think that 6 actual pirates voted on this poll?
