So where does everyone else get their karaoke files from? Are you still bringing in off of discs or downloading from a site?

I buy my custom discs from Selectatrack. Only downloads I buy are from Karaoke-Version.

We use buykaraokedownloads.com & they seem to have a great selection & be really up to date. Any reason no one else uses them?

we have been using them for about 5 years now with no major problems.

Great, doesn't mean they aren't questionable.

FAQ from their site:

“Are music downloads from BuyKaraokeDownloads.com legal?
All the music downloads you purchase from BuyKaraokeDownloads.com are legal, so long as you comply with our Terms of Use, including the End User License Agreement & Usage Rules. We only sell music that has been legally licensed for sale to the general public for personal use”.

Take heed the last sentence. Finely printed "personal use".

To be fortunate enough to derive an income from a source as fulfilling as karaoke music has got to be as close to heaven as we can get here on earth!

just a thought, when it comes to the music publishers (at least Universal Music Group), use is considered commercial when turned into another product (eg, adding to a movie or TV soundtrack, remixes by DJ's, repackaged and sold as compilations, etc.) use by the purchaser (including a DJ or KJ, use on a website or podcast) in it's purchased form without re-distribution is personal (also called private) use.
